The Ranch

Our Mission

At Red Hollow Country, our mission is to provide high-quality bison meat and products to our customers while promoting sustainable agriculture and conservation of our natural resources. We are committed to raising our bison in a humane and ethical manner, without the use of hormones or antibiotics. We believe in the importance of connecting people to the source of their food and educating them about the benefits of consuming bison meat, which is lean, high in protein, and packed with nutrients. As stewards of the land, we strive to manage our ranch in a way that enhances the health and biodiversity of the ecosystem, while preserving the cultural and historical significance of bison in our country. Through our efforts, we aim to contribute to the local economy, support our community, and inspire others to join us in our mission to create a more sustainable and healthy food system.

About Our Ranch

We are a family owned and operated bison ranch located in Gouglersville, Pennsylvania. In 2021, driven by admiration and love for the great American Bison, we began the journey with a starter herd of four heifers. We have since grown, welcoming our herd bull, Knox, more heifers, and even a few calves!

Our ranch consists of 65 acres, with pastures where the bison roam and fields used to produce quality hay for our animals to eat. We are proud to be working the land that has been in our family for decades.

My dad, Tod, and I work to manage and maintain the ranch on a daily basis. We are also lucky to have the help of family and friends for times when extra hands are needed. We genuinely enjoy being able to work with these incredible animals everyday.

Our bison are raised on pasture without the use of added growth hormones or antibiotics. We take pride in the health and ethical handling of our animals all the way through harvesting and processing at a USDA Certified Butcher.

In addition to bison, we also raise laying hens and pigs. Our German Shorthaired Pointer, Dixie, is happiest working alongside us. We love spending time on the ranch; whether it is working with the animals, hunting, fishing, or enjoying quality time with family. Our ranch is our home and that’s the way we like it!
